Carson and Lilys journey began at Chick-fil-A in Waterloo, IA when they were both just 16 years old. Lily was asking her coworkers, who were also Carsons friends, about him. Without each others knowledge, Carson was doing the same. Finally, Carson got her number and from the moment they connected, their love story began.


Their first date was a memorable one – a Black Friday shopping outing on Thanksgiving. Carson not only won over Lilys heart but also her familys. When he picked her up, he came inside to meet them, leaving a lasting impression. They also bumped into Carsons family during their shopping adventure, introducing Lily to his whole family in one go as well.


Carsons decision to attend Drake University as a junior in high school marked a significant turning point in their lives. For Lily, there was never a doubt in her mind that wherever Carson went, she would follow. They relocated to the beautiful state capital of Des Moines, with Carson pursuing studies in Actuarial Science and Finance at Drake University, while Lily settled in West Des Moines to be close to him.


In Des Moines, they discovered an incredible community of fellow college students at Walnut Creek Church. They cherish the bonds they’ve formed within this close-knit community. Carson and Lilys shared faith in Christ is the sole purpose of their lives and also their reason for marriage.


Their love for Christ truly defines their relationship and they are each others best friends, sharing an unbreakable bond filled with laughter. After 4 years together, their love for each other continues to grow stronger.


Carson and Lily fill their free time with activities they both love. Most days, youll find them engaged in the college ministry that has become such an important part of their lives. They enjoy playing pickleball, spending leisurely hours at coffee shops, and finding new hobbies and things to do together.


Carsons proposal to Lily in Nashville at the enchanting castle where Taylor Swift filmed her Love Story music video was a moment of pure magic. Now, they eagerly look forward to spending forever together, building a life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments all while glorifying the Lord and pointing each other to Him.
