Carson and Bailee both grew up in Ankeny, IA and became good friends throughout middle school. They ended up going to different colleges - Carson went to Wartburg College and Bailee went to Iowa State. During the summer of their junior year, they reconnected from mutual friends and soon began dating long distance until they graduated in December of 2018.

After graduation they moved to Kansas City, where they have enjoyed trying new breweries & restaurants, supporting the local sports teams (& of course the Cyclones), and also staying busy with their dog Winston, who they adopted in 2020. They also love spending time with their friends playing sand volleyball, going to concerts, or staying in for game nights.

Carson proposed to Bailee in May 2022 while on vacation in Florida. They had planned a day trip to St. Augustine but first stopped at a beach along the way. Carson proposed on the beach and pre-planned for their good friend & best man, Logan Stiles, to hide out and take photos. They spent the remainder of the day celebrating together with Bailee’s parents and sharing the exciting news with family and friends from afar.
