Carson and Royce's friendship began in a high school PE class where she was put on a volleyball team with the notoriously competitive Markley brothers (thanks Mr. Crocker). Carson and her friends would intentionally mess up to frustrate them. Royce is still mad about it to this day.

One day after class, Royce was shooting hoops waiting for the bell to ring. He turned to Carson and asked, "If I can make this shot, will you go on a date with me?" Carson reluctantly agreed, and a week later they went on their first date.

After high school, Carson attended University of Oregon, where Royce would eventually follow. They spent their time at U of O, going to Duck football games, dancing at Taylor's, hanging out with friends, riding party buses, eating way too much Ully's... and, oh yeah, getting degrees.

After they both graduated from U of O, they moved to Portland where Royce attends graduate school and Carson works as an educational assistant in a Functional Living Skills classroom. Over the years, Carson and Royce's fun loving relationship has evolved into a genuine lifelong bond. Carson, Royce, and their dog Lady Stark are happily living in Portland where they continue to pursue their goals and take on life as a team.
