Once I moved back to Atlanta after law school, my best friend from high school, Sally told me she wanted to set me up with a great guy she knew through her college friends from Auburn. She promised me it wouldn’t be a horror story like you hear about blind dates. A few weeks later, after having to reschedule once because of the bar exam, Connor met me, allegedly sight unseen, at the busy and bustling Colony Square in midtown. We had drinks at JoJo’s Beloved, and once they kicked us out, we continued the conversation at a nearby restaurant. Connor had me laughing immediately. He told me about his numerous hobbies, which all seemed completely unrelated (scuba diving, race car driving, guitar playing, gym, and church). But once you get to know him, it completely makes sense. Connor is perpetually curious, intelligent, and unfailingly kind and loyal. We had so much fun with each other, and I knew I wanted to get to know him better. Only a couple of weeks later, we found ourselves together again at a lake day courtesy of Jack and Morgan, who in addition to Sally, proudly take full credit for our relationship. After that day, Connor and I were essentially inseparable. Between now and then, we have had what feels like countless adventures ranging from Costa Rica to Oxford, MS, for the best game days in the South, to Kenebunkport, Maine, probably our favorite adventure to date. But, if you were going to ask each of us what our happy place was, I think we’d both confidently tell you Watercolor, Florida, where Connor and I have spent a good bit of time with Connor’s family. There, we love sitting by the pool, walking for hours each day, and drinking cocktails overlooking the beach at Bud and Ally’s.&nbsp; We do love our time at home however. You can usually find us frequenting Chastain Park for Saturday morning walks or Nuevo Laredo for the best margaritas and queso in town. If we aren’t there, Connor is probably forcing me to betray my alma mater of UGA and watch Auburn sports with our friends on Canton Street in Roswell. Connor proposed to me a couple of days after Christmas 2024 behind his parent's house in Milton on a path we have walked many times before. I remember feeling how surreal the day was as I walked into the kitchen to celebrate and enjoy lunch with our immediate families. We enjoyed dinner that night the two of us at Milton’s, a new favorite of mine.&nbsp; I am so excited to be joining Connor’s family, and I feel like the luckiest girl in the world that he is joining mine!&nbsp; We are so thankful that you all will be able to celebrate us. Each of you is so important to Connor and I, and you have played a role in each of our stories.&nbsp; March 2026 cannot come soon enough!&nbsp; With love, Carter

As soon as Abbie was born, she was my best friend, whether she liked it or not. We were constant playmates and throughout our lives, we've always turned to each other - whether it was while both of us were at Marist, living in Oxford while we were both at Ole Miss, or living in Atlanta trying to figure everything out after school. Abbie's creative energy and steadfast values have always kept me grounded and inspired. I have imagined her and Ansley by my side on my wedding day for as long as I can remember.

As soon as Ansley was born, she was my little baby doll. Abbie and I thought that we were Ansley's mom too, and we took that responsibility very seriously. We couldn't wait for her to wake up from her nap time and wanted to dress her in our American Girl doll clothes. As we've gotten older, Ansley and I have only gotten closer. She keeps me young and always keeps me laughing. Ansley is wise beyond her years in a lot of ways, and I often find myself turning to her for advice, when usually people assume it would be the other way around.

Lauren is my oldest cousin, and we have always been close. The first wedding I was a bridesmaid in was Lauren's, more than a decade ago! I remember being amazed by what a beautiful and elegant bride Lauren was. Since then, we have celebrated the coming of Lauren's three sons, one of whom is my godchild, Thomas. Even though they live far away in Houston, we find time to visit and catch up, and I treasure all of our memories together.

Sally and I were fast friends when she moved to Atlanta from Michigan and started at Marist in the middle of 8th grade. She brought an entirely new energy to our group of girls. Sally always keeps me honest and has never been afraid to call me out when I need it. In many ways we have grown up together, and we have always prioritized each other from the times when she was at Auburn and I was at Georgia to when I was in Oxford and she was in Atlanta. We have so much fun together, and she is such a strong pillar in my life. She is someone I can always count on for honest advice, and her strong convictions and confidence make her an incredible source of wisdom. I am so proud to call her a best friend! 

Sally Adler

Meg and I have known each other since we were 12, and that shared life experience shows! We have always had fun together and always seem to be on the same wave length. We share common values. Once we both started at Georgia after Marist, we knew we could turn to each other whenever we needed to. We were in different sororities and different majors, but we valued and prioritized our friendship. After law school, Meg and I had a blast living in Morningside for a year while we were both working! Meg always had patience with me as I was studying for the bar or working crazy hours. I am forever thankful for her, and I am so excited to have her by my side.

Kate and I have been through it all together, starting with our time in Athens where we lived together for three years. Kate and I can make each other laugh unlike anyone else, and we always seem to be thinking the same thing. We're guilty of going to dinner or lunch and sitting at the restaurant and talking for hours long after we've finished eating. I stood by Kate's side when she married David, and have been able to celebrate the coming of her son, Sam, with her. I am so blessed to have such an amazing friend who I get to keep up with even though she lives a little ways away.

Morgan is my newest friend in this group, and I am so thankful Connor brought her to me! Morgan and Jack are probably some of the most loyal friends I have ever had. They are hilarious and always down to have fun. Morgan is unbelievably thoughtful and thinks of everyone. She is the ultimate hostess and always is working to make everyone feel welcomed, included, and celebrated. I know that she will be a lifelong friend, and I cannot wait to share this next phase of life with her.

My little nephews are too cute to handle! Lauren's sons have brought so much light into our family, and I am so blessed to call one of them, Thomas, my godson! I can't wait to see them come waddling down the aisle!

Brunch:Murphy’s in Virginia Highlands, Superica, or the White House are all favorites of ours. We also recommend taking a walk around Chastain Park and hitting the Chastain for coffee and brunch afterwards! Dinner:Bones, Bar Blanc, and La Grotta are our favorite fancy places. Taverna, Storico Fresco, Nuevo Laredo, Cafe Anis, or Three Dollar are some of our favorite more casual spots. Other things to do: Check out the Battery - home of the Atlanta Braves or grab a drink at JoJo’s Beloved - our first date spot! During the Pause:Grab a pint of Guinness at Fado - one of Connor's favorites. Check out St. Julep at the Sylvan Hotel - a rooftop bar with a nice view of the Atlanta Skyline. St. Regis Bar - a beautiful bar with light snacks and an elevated atmosphere in one of the most beautiful hotels in Atlanta.
