Our Wedding

Our story starts with major coincidence and several missed connections. In the Spring of 2018, we were each convinced by a friend to go with them on a 6-week summer study abroad trip to Santander with App State's Spanish department. We didn't travel with the same group and never saw each other before our class met for the first time at Los Raqueros - a popular city monument - for a tour of the area. It took about 5 minutes for us to catch each other's attention, and a few more days for us to actually do anything about it. One night at the beginning of our trip, we stayed out after all of our friends had gone home, and spent the night exploring the city and strolling on the beach, literally until the sun came up. As we talked that night we'd come to find out that we lived across the street from each other, had dozens of mutual friends and acquaintances, and had attended several of the same parties. We'd even matched on Tinder back home (lol!) but never actually messaged on the app. You could say we'd finally found the right place and the right time. 6 years later, through several moves, periods of long distance, travels and adventures, cat adoptions, and a hurricane, we're stronger than ever and can't wait to start this new chapter.
