Our Wedding

Carter and Karli’s story began in 2019 at a friend’s graduation party. Carter spent the entire night calling Karli by another girl’s name, because apparently, she looked just like her. Not the smoothest start, but hey, it got her attention. Fast forward about a month, Karli wished Carter a happy birthday on Snapchat. From there, they snapped on and off until football season. Karli started going to Cascade football games with her sister Lydia where her and Carter quickly began falling for each other. Despite being high school rivals, Carter and Karli cheered each other on through every athletic event and high school festivity. In 2022, they both attended Kirkwood Community College together where they had way too much fun. A year later, Carter transferred to the University of Iowa, and Karli headed to the University of Northern Iowa. Despite the distance, they made it work, coming home every weekend! Over the years, they went on countless adventures - vacations, Hawkeye tailgates, and plenty of memories with friends and family. Over five years later from the day they met, Carter got down on one knee at the end of Karli's lane where she said "yes" to forever!
