Eddie and Casandra met in the summer of 2016 at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Their story began with helping the incoming freshmen move into their dorm rooms. After a grueling day of moving boxes and helping families navigate high emotions, Eckerd commemorates the first night of freshman freedom with an all campus dance. This is where Eddie's finger pistols and lack of hip movements wooed Casandra. Eddie asked Casandra to be his girlfriend in September of that year.

Eddie graduated in May of 2017 and started to pursue his Tennis career while staying in Florida. After one year on the Tour, Eddie moved back to Alaska to make Anchorage his home base. Casandra graduated in December of 2018 and moved back to Visalia, California.

With Eddie in Alaska and Casandra in California, they spent so much time on FaceTime and phone calls. They would try to squeeze in as many trips to see each other throughout 2019. Then in 2020, of course Covid halted any opportunity to see each other in person. They went 11 months without visiting each other.

Fast forward to December of 2021, Eddie was offered a job in Bellevue, Washington. In January of 2022, Eddie flew down to California to meet Casandra and together they drove 15 hours from Visalia, California to Bellevue, Washington. They moved to a place where they had no family living there, little to no knowledge of the area, and no furniture. But after 3 years, 8 months, and 15 days of long distance, Eddie and Casandra were finally able to live in the same place again.

Now they are well established and happier than ever living in Bellevue with their two cats, Juniper & Jasper.
