On June, 29th, 1963, construction began on the man-made lake that would eventually be known as J. Percy Priest Lake. Little did the U.S. Corps of Engineers know that 21,168 days later, a romance would be formed on that lake's very shores.

Twas the year 2021, and dating apps were a double-edged sword. Are you going to meet the love of your life, or are you going to end up in a dangerous situation, or perhaps worse, GHOSTED?!

Luckily, the algorithm brought two Nashville transplants together as both Casey and Kevin 'swiped right' into each other's lives. A date was set to meet at Shipwreck Cove Marina and Restaurant on a muggy Summer's evening. Kevin, dressed in denim jeans and a long-sleeve tee arrived at the marina to find Casey waiting in a casual yet cute black dress. A successful first date lead to unforgettable goodnight kisses that would be cherished forever.

The two soon created a routine to accommodate each other's busy schedules as the combination of two established lives took effort that they knew was worthwhile.

In the beginning, Kevin shared his passion for music with Casey by taking her to concerts she may not have found herself at in a previous life. He also exposed her to his profession in marching percussion by giving Casey the VIP experience at WGI Finals. Casey even found herself on the sideline of a University of Alabama football game, all the while sharing these experiences with the man that would eventually become her husband.

In turn, Casey welcomed Kevin into the Blackburn family, taking him on a tour of small town living and introducing him to Nan so that he could hear her infamous wiener story.

In 2023, the couple took a giant leap and not only moved in together, but became tenants-in-common by buying a brand new house in nearby Hermitage.

Now, after many adventures, challenges, and victories together, Casey and Kevin have decided to make it official and tie the knot.
