This immersive exhibit details the harrowing events of the Tulsa race riot/Black Wall Street massacre, which took place over two days in 1921. More than 35 square blocks of the Greenwood District in now-downtown Tulsa were burned and destroyed. It is considered one of the worst acts of racial violence in American history. The Greenwood District was one of the wealthiest black communities in the US at the time, which is how it became known as "Black Wall Street".
Located in Midtown, this art museum was once the home of oil tycoon Waite Phillips (Phillips 66) and his wife Genevieve. You can experience the historic home, art museum, and 25 acres of gardens.
