From the moment I saw Casey I knew she was someone I had to know. It was as if her soul had mine in a gravitational pull. It was through our love of music that I knew why she was special to me. That special night I wasn't expecting her to even show up but when our friend said she was coming my heart jumped, and my palms got really sweaty. I knew I had to make my move not knowing that I had moves haha. Tried to flirt with her during bowling but was far from successful. I knew I had to keep the night going. Bob's was my last chance and I was not passing it up. It was as if fate knew because we were the only two of four that wanted to go, and once we stepped inside, I took my chance. I told her I liked her and after an hour of convincing her there was no other Casey I was talking about, she allowed me to walk her to the beach and talk under the stars. From then we've island hopped in paradise, struggled through being a world apart, and finally four years from that wonderful night, we are settled in Jacksonville where we get to start the rest of our lives together. -Brandon

Picture it: 2019. It was Easter Sunday. My first day in Hawaii. I had no idea what to expect and nothing that I wanted to do other than get a tan and go to the beach. After a few taco Tuesdays, trivia, a friend’s naturdays, came one fateful night a group of us went bowling. Well, pregamed with too many beers, then bowling. As the games went on Brandon was allegedly flirting with me. I wasn't aware of that, but before you know it, it was just the two of us at a bar named Bob's. Brandon told me he liked me and I just didn't believe him. I was in shock. But as it turned out, there wasn't another girl with my name that he was talking about. I wasn't sure what was going to happen next, but I had a feeling that this was going to be good. From the bar we walked to the beach and continued to talk all night. Well, Brandon did most of the talking, but I did ask him out to a movie two days later. We've spent every moment together from there. From deployments and the best vacations I've ever taken to staying on the couch listening to music, I found my best friend that night.
