Our Wedding

Clay and Casey met November 2016 like many millennials do, online. Clay was initially drawn in by Casey's smile, but what really started the conversation was his interest in Casey's J.J. Watt "Booty Bump" story. Casey and Clay talked for a couple weeks until actually meeting in person Friday November 25, 2016 for a movie date. Casey was so excited to meet Clay that she made record time driving home from Detroit after visiting family for Thanksgiving. After several dates, and Casey helping Clay rehab his ankle after a work injury, they started dating "officially" on December 27, 2016.

Our Beginning

Since dating, Clay and Casey have made many memories together! Clay and Casey love to travel and have been able to travel to Chicago, Detroit, Seattle, Orlando, and Cancun. Casey was even able to help Clay get over his fear of rollercoasters through their several trips to Walt Disney World!Clay and Casey's favorite past time that they share is movies. Their favorite date night activity is going to the movie theater and seeing the newest releases, especially Marvel and Disney. Prior to dating Clay, Casey NEVER saw a Marvel movie, but now she is up to date with all the movies and spin-offs thanks to Clay! Clay and Casey also enjoy attending ComicCons where they have met some of their favorite celebrities including Sean Astin, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Jeff Goldblum.When Clay and Casey are not traveling or at the theater, they love playing sand volleyball and having board game nights with friends, going to local festivals and fairs, having lazy days at the pool, and trying new and exciting activities together!

Our Adventures

What Casey thought was just going to be another fun-filled double date with friends, turned into a memory she will never forget! February 21, 2021, Clay and his friend, Matt, planned a double date to the Milwaukee County Zoo with their favorite ladies. Though it was chilly, the group enjoyed looking at the fish, dodging the birds flying around the exhibit, and admiring the cute animals. As time was winding down, the group decided to make one last stop at the new elephant exhibit. As Casey and her best friend, Hannah, were watching the elephants play, Clay suddenly had an "itchy beard". As Casey went to turn around to make a sassy comment about how he shouldn't have shaved his beard that day, she discovered Clay was down on one knee! Clay explained that he appreciated all that they have been through together and wanted to continue having new adventures together for forever. Obviously, Casey said yes!

Starred on the map above is the location of the Humphrey Memorial Chapel at Carroll University. We are asking guests to park in Parking Lot 9, behind the chapel, and to keep Parking Lot 19 available for vendors and guests who are handicapped.Please allow appropriate time for weather and parking when coming to the ceremony (there will be a youth conference on March 19th as well).If you are lost, the Campus Center is located on the corner College Ave. and East Ave (circled in yellow on the map). The hotel is an 10 minute drive from the reception hall. Please call the hotel or use the link below to receive discounted rate through our room block (Hamill-Barth/Burt Wedding). Must book before February 18, 2022 to receive deal on the room block.
