From Root Beer Floats to Forever

Picture of From Root Beer Floats to Forever

Casey, a firefighter, and Charity, a police officer, worked together for a couple of years before Casey started to take an interest in Charity as more than just a coworker. As his interest grew, he shared it with his fellow firefighters. Word quickly traveled across departments, and soon her police coworkers joined forces with his fire crew to play matchmakers. Their teamwork paid off when Charity was invited to the firehouse for a root beer float—a simple gathering that would mark the beginning of something extraordinary.

As time passed, Casey and Charity discovered their bond was built not just on their shared duties and desire to serve, but on a foundation of faith, family, and a love for God that guided both of their lives. From late-night talks to heartfelt prayers, they realized their connection had formed a strong friendship that would be the foundation of a lifelong partnership.

Through courage, service, and devotion, their love story blossomed into a beautiful reminder that God weaves hearts together in the most surprising of places—even over root beer floats at a fire station.

We now look forward to seeing what the next chapter in the love story God has written for us contains. We excitedly anticipate celebrating our wedding with each of you as special friends and family as a reflection of the celebration to be had one day as the bride of Christ or Savior.

It will no longer be said to you, Forsaken, Nor to your land will it any longer be said, Desolate; But you will be called, My delight is in her, And your land, Married; For the Lord delights in you, And to Him your land will be married. For…as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride, So your God will rejoice over you. Isaiah 62:4-5 NASB

For your husband is your Maker, Whose name is the Lord of hosts; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of all the earth. Isaiah 54:5 NASB
