The dress code for our wedding is formal attire. Ladies, think cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, midi/knee-length dresses. Guys, think suits in any color or a dress shirt with a tie and formal pants. Pinterest board for outfit inspiration - https://pin.it/fZI8Bl1RN
What time should we arrive?
Please arrive at 5:00PM to give yourself enough time to park and find your seating. The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30PM.
What type of food will be served at the event?
We will host a cocktail hour with passed hors d'oeurves, a grazing table, and a buffet-style dinner with multiple courses. Please let Casey know if you have any dietary restrictions, and she will work with the caterer to have a full plate of food ready for you.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Weather permitting, we aim to host the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors. The reception will be held inside the venue. In the event of rain or uncomfortable temperatures, all events will be held inside the manor.
Will alcohol be served?
Of course! Guests will be able to enjoy an open bar during the cocktail hour and reception hours of the event. While we will provide a substantial tip to the bartenders, feel free to throw in some cash if your experience with the bar goes above and beyond your expectations.
What should we do about gifts, given the couple's travel?
Please see our registry page for our wish list items. We've chosen items that can be somewhat easily transported over to The Netherlands, and have included cash funds to cover some essentials that can't be packed in a suitcase!
What will the weather be like this time of year?
We pray for a beautiful May day, with clear skies, warmth, and low humidity. However, sometimes April showers carry into May, and rain can happen. Additionally, the temperature can vary wildly, but we anticipate a warm day. Our venue is flexible enough to make a decision on whether we host the event inside or outside on the morning of, so rest assured, all guests will be comfortable.
Can I take photos during the wedding?
During the ceremony, we ask for everyone to keep their phones away. Afterwards, feel free to capture every moment! We will also have two photographers and a photobooth to capture every moment of our special day.
