Our Story

Some love stories begin with a chance encounter or a grand romantic gesture. Ours? It started with a job offer—when I was hired to be his boss! We worked together for a few weeks before he moved on to the next section of his internship, but in that short time, we quickly realized we liked each other. It wasn’t love at first sight, but there was an undeniable connection—one that grew into something neither of us could ignore. From the start, I thought he was incredibly organized; he thought I was very headstrong, but somewhere between our shared love of travel, exploring new places, attending local performances, and spending time with our dogs, we built a life together. We settled down, bought a house, and knew we had found something real. Then came the perfect surprise. For my mom’s 60th birthday, I planned everything—photographer, location, all of it. What I didn’t plan was the moment he would turn that day into one of the most special of our lives. He proposed, making sure my mom—one of the most important people in my life—was right there with us. It wasn’t just about asking me to marry him; it was about honoring the family we already had and the one we’re building together. Now, as we step into this next chapter, we’re excited for everything the future holds—adventures, laughter, and most of all, the family we’ll create. Because being together has always been the easiest thing in the world—like breathing.

John and I met at WaterColor working the front desk. We quickly bonded over sports and whiskey at our favorite bar Shades. He was there for Casey and I's first date and has been a good 3rd wheel since. John is now working for Walton County as an aid to the commissioner.

Kenna and I have known each other since first grade, but became friends in third grade. She hasn't been able to shake me since. I'm here because of her. She is currently working towards a PhD in Hebrew Bible, and has been accepted to SMU and Princeton's theology programs! (I'm so proud of her!)

I met Derek in the Seventh Grade while he was rocking a sick bowl cut and have been friends ever since. Derek is now a Web Developer in Houston, Texas

I met Abby through my sorority- not as a sister, but as the cousin to one of my sisters. Through good times and bad, we've stayed by each others sides. After school, she moved to York and has been working as a special needs teacher. I'm here because of her.

I met Nate Freshman year in High School, with us getting close during baseball season. We lived together as Freshmen in College. Nate is now the best personal trainer/ bartender in AZ.

Maddie and I became friends in fifth grade, and lost touch for a few years when she moved in tenth. But, thanks to Kenna, in college we reconnected, and eventually becoming roommates once I graduated (like she literally gave me her bed, and slept on the couch). She has helped me to get back on my feet whenever I needed it and bolstered my confidence, even when I didn't need it. I'm here because of her.

Jake is my fraternity big; we bonded over old computer games, sports and having a good time. Jake is now a financial advisor in Corona, CA.

Taylor was the first friend I made at UNT. Due to many reasons we rarely saw each other, but if I saw her across the street or grass lot I would holler like a madwoman (she never minded). Her senior year she joined my sorority, and became my little (possibly under duress, possibly not), and now she's stuck with me. I'm here because of her.

Alex is my wild unpredictable fraternity twin. Alex grew my interest in soccer (Man United) and kicked my butt in FIFA every second he got. He is now a financial advisor in AZ with Charles Schwab.

Myki was my neighbor when I first lived on my own. She was the best neighbor and became an even better friend; if I ever felt unsafe, unhappy, or overwhelmed she was there for me. I'm here because of her.

I met Gio during his MIT program while working in the Revenue Department. We quickly bonded over sports and coming in last in bar trivia. Gio is now in membership sales with St. Joe.
