Fezzo's is one of Tyler and I's favorite restaurant to eat when we visit family back in Lafayette! They have an assortment of different food options that represents true Cajun cuisine! Their other location is in Scott, LA and the address is 720 I-10 South Frontage Rd, Scott, LA 70583.
Some of our favorite dishes are Fried Catfish, Catfish Festival with Seafood Etoufee, Eggplant Parmesan, and Bread Pudding (Local drinks are also great!)
Located in Tyler's hometown of Carencro, this restaurant has been a historic representation of Cajun food and music for many decades. This restaurant was also where we told Tyler's mom about our engagement! Some of our favorite dishes are the Crawfish Enchiladas, Crawfish Dip, Fried Catfish, and Gumbo!
If you are looking for a Cajun buffet, look no further than Lagneaux's! Tyler raves about their selection of seafood including Boiled Shrimp and Crabs along with their Shrimp Etoufee! Tyler always says they lose money when he eats there haha!
Located near his Great Maw-Maw's house, this place has been a lunch staple for Tyler's family! Lunch Box is a family run business that serves homemade dishes including our favorites like the Shrimp Po' Boy made with local Evangeline Maid Bread and the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo with Potato Salad. With daily lunch plates, this restaurant is a good place to stop for a home cooked meal.
For those wanting to try local favorites, Billy's is THE place to get your Boudin and Cracklin fix! This grab n' go pit stop is located just off I-49 and also features a market inside for those wanting to take a little bit of Lafayette with them back home!
With multiple locations throughout Lafayette, Meche's Tyler and Casey's go-to doughnut shop when visiting Lafayette! You can't go wrong with any of their selections (this is where Tyler gets Casey's birthday cake each year as they serve the best King Cakes in town!)
