Casey and Scott met when they entered 6th grade. In 7th grade, Scott was much quieter than Casey...big shock! And their teachers would always sit them next to each other in the hopes that Scott being so quiet would keep Casey from talking in class. This plan backfired and only caused Scott to get in trouble along with Casey for talking! This obviously didn't deter him from asking her out the next year...

In the beginning of 8th grade, in typical middle school fashion Casey told her friends she liked Scott. It turns out Scott liked Casey too and had been planning on asking her to the 8th grade dinner dance. On December 11th, 2004 Scott asked Casey to be his girlfriend and she said yes! They have been inseparable ever since; dating all through high school, undergraduate college where they attended Quinnipiac University together and their post secondary college careers up to this day!

After 11 years (!) of dating they were getting ready to play tennis in their Concord, NH apartment, the first place they shared together. Scott had designed her ring using his great great aunt's diamond that dates back to the 1920s. He exclaimed that they had waited long enough! So he got down on one knee and proposed! Of course Casey said yes and they began planning their dream day that they have been waiting for all this time.
