Recommend to stay in Weatherford, TX the night before and the night of the wedding. It is about 20-25 mins away from the venue, with many hotels in the area.

Approx. 50 minute drive from Dallas Fort Worth International Airport to the wedding venue.

Where to stay?

We have reserved 2 hotels block in Weatherford, TX. They are next door to each other, so take your pick at which ever one you prefer! This block is purely a recommendation, feel free to check out other options or Airbnb if you would like something a little different! However, we would recommend staying in/near Weatherford, TX due to it being the closest town to the wedding venue. If you decide to not book at the Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn Express, we strongly recommend booking a hotel near to these hotels, as this will help with traveling to and from the venue if you plan to use our provided transportation. If you know a few people who will be going to our wedding, feel free to coordinate!

It all began in 2019, when Rob and Casey met for the first time in a cozy cocktail bar on a crisp fall evening while living in New Jersey.&nbsp;Neither of us were from there, and how we both ended up in the same state, at the same time, miles from where we grew up, feels like one of life’s happy accidents. From that very first date, something just felt right. As the year came to a close, Rob had to break the news: he needed to fly back to the UK to renew his visa. But with hearts full of hope, we made plans to reunite. A spontaneous trip to London two weeks before Rob’s return to the U.S. gave us a taste of what life together could look like, and we toasted his visa approval with joy. Then the world stopped. COVID-19 swept in, borders closed, flights were canceled. Suddenly, we were in a long-distance relationship and the possibility of seeing each other again felt heartbreakingly uncertain. After months of waiting, Casey was finally able to visit Rob in Knighton, (after a glamorous 10-day quarantine) to spend three precious weeks together. Saying goodbye again was no easier, but we knew one thing for sure: we never wanted to be apart for that long again. Rob made it back to the U.S., but not without jumping through some hoops, including spending a grueling two-week detour in Cancun (poor guy) just to be allowed in. But love was stronger than inconvenience. He came with one suitcase and the certainty that Casey was his future. Three months together turned into meeting families, reconnecting with friends, and building the foundation of a life we knew we wanted to share. Many more international visits followed, but none as unforgettable as the summer of 2022, when Rob took Casey to the Gower Peninsula in South Wales. As the sun set over the sea from a cliffside, Rob got down on one knee, and Casey said yes. Most couples start planning their wedding after getting engaged. We, on the other hand, started planning… immigration paperwork. Instead of centerpieces, we were tackling visa forms. But we figured if we’d already spent years waiting across oceans for each other, we could wait a bit longer to say "I do." This new journey was one that would definitely test our patience but also strengthen our bond. We decided to make the most of our waiting season and chased an adventure: moving to Australia. There, we built our first home together, our first apartment, first big move (with many more to come), countless homemade curries, and a road trip from top to bottom of the country, we truly began our life as a team. When we finally received approval to return to the U.S., we made our way back through the UK and eventually landed in Texas, completing a full lap around the globe together. Having traveled the world and fought for the right to return and build life in the same place we started our adventure. The road to this moment has been filled with obstacles, paperwork, time zones, and tears; but also laughter, growth, deep love, and unwavering commitment. We've stood by each other through life’s hardest moments and greatest joys, and we know there’s nothing we can’t face together. Now, we’re thrilled to finally celebrate our love with all of you. Our friends and family who’ve supported us every step of the way and seen everything we have done to be together. This wedding is not just about one day; it’s about every moment that led us here. And we are so proud to have finally made it.

Road Trip?

You can surprisingly see a lot of Texas, in a short amount of time. Dallas &gt; Fort Worth &gt; Austin &gt; San Antonio = Approx. 4hours 45mins of driving. Spend a day at each one , they all have their own unique character.

 Cultural & Practical Differences

Currency: USA deals in Dollars, 1&nbsp;United States Dollar&nbsp;equals 0.74&nbsp;Pound sterling.Almost everywhere takes Credit Cards, but Cash is always accepted with ATMs easy to find. If you plan to use your card check if there is any transaction fee for international purchases! Tax: Tax is never included on the sticker price in shops or on menus, and is calculated after purchase so make sure you have enough if using cash and are not surprised by this. Tipping:Restaurants: 15–20% is standard.Bars: $1–$2 per drink.
