Please be aware that even though we have reserved space at Ginnie Springs, the location charges $25 per person per night. Let Jason or Casi know if you have questions.
Why is your wedding so many days?
Thursday the 14th is a small ceremony for family in Tallahassee. The 15th through 17th is our large, everyone included, camping celebration in High Springs.
What kind of camping is this?
Developed camping at Ginnie Springs includes water and electric hookups. Bringing extension cords and anything you need to be comfortable is recommended. We will have a group of campsites reserved for guests with a bath house nearby. Bath house has running water, toilets, and showers. Ginnie Springs also has a small restaurant and general store. Tents or other camping shelter will be needed! These sites are not cabins. We have sites 82 through 92, 94, 96, and 98. Site 82 is for Casi and Jason!
Are there any specific camping rules?
There are up to 10 guests allowed per site with either one RV or 2 tents. Sharing tent space is highly recommended if possible!
Ginnie Springs sounds like it's near water...
Yes, Ginnie Springs is located in High Springs, FL and it includes seven springs along the Santa Fe River. The celebration is in November, so it may be cold but please feel free to bring or rent whatever watercraft you like- kayaks, paddle boards, floats, snorkels, wet suits. Ginnie Springs is also a beautiful place to walk around, play volleyball, hit the playground, and sit by the campfire.
What will the weather be like?
Who knows! It's Florida in November, so there's a wide range of possibilities. Check weather as time comes closer and prepare accordingly. Historical averages are 70s/50s.
Food while camping?
We will have some grills but bringing some of your favorites for camping is highly recommended. There is also a small restaurant on the property and the city of High Springs is about 15 minutes away by car and has several restaurants and a brewery.
Is alcohol allowed at the campsite?
Yes, Ginnie Springs is a privately owned park, not a state park, so alcohol is allowed on the premises. Please celebrate responsibly.
