Our Wedding

Matt and Cass met while members of the same cast of Peter/Wendy, a staged adaptation of Peter Pan, in June of 2023. While Matt had been months into rehearsing for the production as a dead-pan pirate in Hook's crew, Cass was out on the open road with her trusty goldendoodle, Appa, on a pirate-themed road trip down the eastern seaboard. When an emergency occurred within the original cast, the show's director reached out to Cass and asked her to fill in for another pirate. She agreed to join the crew once she returned home... which meant her first rehearsal would be during tech week. Matt and Cass bonded instantly, playing off of each other's opposite energies from the very first word they'd shared. This first interaction was so electrifying that Cass had texted a friend during the rehearsal with the words, "target acquired", a message the couple continues to joke about. It didn't take long for these two to fall in love. It was days into knowing each other that they had their first date, which lasted about three days straight. It was only a couple of weeks before Matt said the couple's first "I love you", an action that brought Cass great relief, as she'd been dying to say it too. They moved in together after just six months and, in true "lesbian speed" fashion (Cass's words), they were engaged in about eight. They share their passions for cosplay, acting, and entertaining and have been fortunate enough to get to take on many work opportunities together. Whether it's Pokemon Go walks with Appa or trips to Dragon Con, sharing a stage or seeing a show, hiking waterfalls or taking a hike to the DMV, these two can have the time of their lives doing just about anything when they're together. Throughout every milestone, there's never been any doubt over whether or not they were making the right decision. From the very beginning, everything about their connection has felt as natural as breathing. Between Matt's calm, grounding, steady presence and Cass's hurricane of manic, fast-talking activity, the two complement each other flawlessly, challenging each other to grow and progress into the best versions of themselves. Neither Matt nor Cass had ever really thought they'd get married, but they found within each other a love that they'd never thought possible. Their relationship is one based on humor, friendship, communication, and unwavering trust. They cannot wait to share their bond and the beginning of their futures with all of those they love.

IMPORTANT UPDATE:
 
It's come to our attention that there will be a big FIFA event in Atlanta the week of our wedding. As a result, hotels in the immediate vicinity of our venue increased their rates once the new year hit.
 
We would strongly suggest either looking at Air B&amp;Bs- which we've seen are much more affordable at the moment- or at hotels outside of the downtown area from which you can rideshare or drive to the aquarium. 
 
If you'd prefer staying close to the venue, we'd recommend booking your accommodations sooner rather than later, as the downtown hotels will likely continue to raise their rates as June draws closer. 
 
As it stands, we've not seen any increase in airfare, but that does not mean it will remain that way. Because of this, we suggest booking your flights and travel as soon as possible.
