Our Wedding

Although we didn't start dating until 2013, we met in Fall 2010 at an OU football game in Norman, OK. Cass was attending undergraduate school at OSU in Stillwater, and Sam was pursuing his masters degree at NSU in Tahlequah - we met through Cass' cousin/Sam's friend and groomsman, Taylor Artman. Fast forward three years to the first date on Friday, October 25th, 2013 where sushi, wine, and laughs were shared. Sam was playing professional golf and living in Tulsa by this time, and Cass was working in Euless at her mom's fuel company and living in Fort Worth. We spent a lot of time traveling to and from different parts of Oklahoma and Texas to spend as much time together as possible - football games, golf tournaments, fairs & festivals, weddings - we love doing things together! In June 2015, 2 month old English Bulldog, Walter joined our lives - shortly after, Sam packed up and left Oklahoma to pursue a new career at Enterprise Holdings in Fort Worth.

How We Met

One year later, Sam got down on one knee under the big Ferris Wheel in Seattle, WA! Cass and Kelly had a business trip in Seattle scheduled for July 2016, so the boys decided to join, so they could escape the Texas heat and play some golf. It was our first night in Seattle, so I didn't think it was strange that my mom was following us around taking pictures. I was so happy to have my parents celebrating with us and capturing such a big moment. We had a perfect seafood dinner on the pier with champagne, wine, and a beautiful Seattle sunset.

The Proposal

It didn't take us long to find the perfect wedding planner, venue, and date. We can't wait to become Mr. and Mrs. Sam Powell! We are excited to have our friends and family join us from Texas and Oklahoma to celebrate our new life together.
