Our Wedding

How it All Began: November 27, 2021

Their story began on a chilly November evening in Toronto. It was Saturday the 27th, and their mutual friends had organized a karaoke night. Little did they know, these friends were secretly playing matchmaker, believing Joe and Cass would be a perfect match based on their shared values and similar past experiences. Joe, ever the kind soul, saw that Cass didn’t know many people and quickly sat beside her to make her feel at home. In an unexpected twist of fate, they sang their first duet together: Celine Dion’s classic, "My Heart Will Go On." That song set the stage for a journey they couldn’t have been predicted.

Time Apart Then Reunited: July 24, 2022

Though they went on a few dates after karaoke night, the timing wasn’t right. Life moved on, and they became friends, staying close in spirit but distant in their day-to-day lives. Cass grew especially close with Joe’s best friend, who would soon prove to be a faithful ally in bringing them back together. On July 24th, 2022, that same best friend held a summer BBQ, inviting Cass along. Joe offered her a ride since they both lived in the same city, and during that drive, they caught up as if no time had passed. As the BBQ went on, they felt a spark rekindle, realizing that this time, everything felt right.

A Turning Point: Summer 2022

The summer continued, and Joe’s best friend made it her mission to ensure their bond continued to grow. She organized a cozy movie night, and once everyone had left, Cass and Joe spent hours talking about their families, beliefs, dreams, and everything in between. It felt as if they’d known each other for years. This was the turning point when their friendship transformed into something deeper, something undeniable.

Their Journey Together

From that moment forward, they shared countless adventures. On August 12, 2022, during a surprise romantic weekend getaway in Toronto, Joe officially asked Cass to be his girlfriend. Together, they embarked on travels that took them from the charming streets of Montreal and the scenic Blue Mountain to the beaches of Mexico, the excitement of Disney World, and the cultural treasures of Japan and Vietnam. Each trip deepened their connection and filled their story with memories.

The Proposal: June 23, 2024

On a perfect summer day, Cass thought she was just heading out for a casual farm visit with Joe and his sister. Little did she know, Joe and his sister had been planning an unforgettable surprise for months. They had concocted a story about a group outing to a new farm, where the owners had supposedly relocated and were looking to feature photos of visitors on their website. When Cass and Joe arrived, the farm owners greeted them enthusiastically, playing along with the story that they’d love to take pictures of the group on their beautiful property. Cass was thrilled—especially since she’d be surrounded by a herd of her favourite animal, the llama, in such a picturesque setting. As they strolled through the idyllic grounds, the farm owners began snapping photos, seemingly capturing fun, candid moments. Then, in the middle of the picturesque scene, Joe turned to Cass, dropped down on one knee, and revealed the real reason they were there: he had planned this entire day to ask her to spend forever with him. In that magical moment, Cass realized the photos weren’t for a website—they were a carefully planned engagement photoshoot, capturing the start of their journey together. Overwhelmed with joy, she said yes, and now they’re ready to start their next chapter.

Their Feelings for Each Other

Cass always dreamed of a love like this, of finding someone who would not only sweep her off her feet but also cherish her for exactly who she is. With Joe, she has found the partner she always hoped for—someone who embraces her passions, encourages her dreams, and makes her feel at home in his world, surrounded by friends and family who have come to feel like her own. For Joe, Cass embodies everything he ever wanted in a partner. He loves her for her warmth, her kindness, and her unwavering support. She has become his confidante, his greatest cheerleader, and the person he can count on to stand by him through every moment, big or small, happy or sad. Together, they are each other’s safe haven, committed to a love that is authentic, enduring, and full of joy.

Today and Beyond

Their journey has been woven together with shared adventures, treasured memories, and a deep, enduring love. They are so grateful to have you here to celebrate this beautiful moment with them. As they step forward, hand in hand, they look forward to all that lies ahead, knowing that together, they can make every dream come true. Thank you for being a part of their love story—here’s to a lifetime of laughter, love, and endless possibilities.
