Thinking back to when Cassandra and I first crossed paths, it feels like such a distant memory, especially since we were just kids in high school. We were in different grades, but shared mutual friends. What I remember most clearly is when we ended up in the same class together, and from there, our connection grew effortlessly. Over time, we became close friends, not realizing we both had a crush on each other. It wasn’t until later that I finally confessed my feelings, and to my surprise, she felt the same. Though we faced the challenge of distance when Cassandra went off to college, the bond we shared never faltered. A year later, we reconnected, and it felt like no time had passed at all. We quickly picked up where we left off, and before long, we were officially dating. As we spent more time together, our relationship grew stronger, and we created some of the best memories of our lives. When I left for basic training, the distance between us became even greater, but our connection only deepened. Being apart for months on end was a true test of our relationship, but through it all, we managed to stay close and maintain the trust we had built. During that time, I knew without a doubt that Cassandra was the one I wanted to spend my life with. Our love stood strong even through the toughest challenges, and it became clear that nothing could come between us. Proposing to Cassandra was a decision that came from the heart, and it felt like the perfect way to start the next chapter of our lives together.
