Cassandra and I were bound to meet in our lifetime. We both agree!

Fun fact, I (Shae), was born in 1994 and Cassandra was born in 1995. So we actually get the pleasure to say, we met on a dating app! How fun!

It was kind of like a time passer, just laughing at some of the profiles, heck, even pictures that you would see. However, when we got to each other’s profile, we both decided to “Swipe Right”, and instantly got a “Match” notification.

Cassandra’s profile described her pretty well as I know her now. A lover of her dogs, Penelope and Reina, and how much she adored her family.

She promptly sparked the conversation. As I quickly realized she was enrolled at the College of Charleston. She made sure to tell me that she had family here in Greenville, SC.

Cassandra attended Mauldin High School, and Christ Church. While I attended Riverside High School. We had no mutual friends. Thank God for this dating app.

She told me she was heading to Greenville to carve and paint pumpkins with her family the following weekend. It was a tradition she enjoyed with her family. She asked if I had any free time to spare..

We met on Thanksgiving evening 2022, at the infamous Rey’s, downtown Greenville.
