Once upon a time, in the land of South Jersey, there lived two slightly awkward homeschool kids whose parents had them fulfill their PE credit by playing in the "ultra competitive, highly skilled” league that was homeschool soccer. Through this league and other similar church events, Sam and Cassie became acquainted. After high school ended, they went their separate ways and parted barely friends.

They had no contact during college and early adult life. Divine intervention, however, allowed the future couple to reconnect when Cassie began attending Easton Bible Church. Afterwards, Sam found out they both work for the same company and mustered up the courage to send her an inter-company email inviting her to the young adults Bible study on a random April day in 2023.

Later that fall, the interest in this beautiful young computer programmer began to grow. In January of 2024, Sam bravely decided to send a text to Cassie inviting her to grab a bite to eat at the local Panera Bread and catch up one on one. From there, the hand of God was clearly seen as the relationship blossomed over the summer and subsequent fall season.

On December 29th, 2024 Sam and Cassie went for a walk in the same park where many years before, they had played soccer together. It was there that Sam got on one knee and popped the question. Cassie joyfully accepted Sam's proposal and agreed to marry him. Now as wedding planning has gotten underway, they look forward to the future that God has in store for Sam and Cassie. Please be in prayer as they begin to take the next steps together and seek God’s direction in this new season of marriage.
