Our Story

Two People From Different Worlds

Picture of Two People From Different Worlds

Our story starts in March of 2023 when our friend Ryan invited Dennis to the Sherwood Forest Faire. But first, Dennis and Ryan had to pick up Ryan’s friend Cassandra from her house. As Dennis and Ryan entered her home, Cassandra entered the living room wearing her warrior make-up and Renaissance outfit. Dennis saw how beautiful she was. That was the beginning of our story.

Cassandra started to invite Dennis to firearm shooting events, and church outings, and to volunteer at Feed the Need. They enjoy hiking, being outside, cooking together, adventuring on trips, and attending church together. The Lord certainly had plans for us.

Dennis Aguilar was born in Chester County, Pennsylvania, a region west of Philadelphia. He grew up in the suburbs and graduated from West Chester East High School. During his childhood, he grew up competing in martial arts. He went on to attend West Chester University of Pennsylvania and graduated with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science. His open career options landed him a remote job. Eventually, he then immigrated to The Great State of Texas! Yeehaw!

Cassandra Feldges, also known as CJ, was born in Minnesota but was raised overseas as an international missionary. Predominantly raised on the island of Cyprus, and Thailand. Her world tour also involved other countries such as Jordan, Egypt, Paris, Greece, Philippines, Dubai, Australia, India, and more. She attended Liberty University in 2013 and graduated in 2017 with a degree in Graphic Design and Photography. Also, in 2023 she earned a certificate in Social Media Marketing. As of right now, she owns her own photography business, Artsy CJ Designs. She is also involved with her young adult group doing social media marketing and graphic design. Working part-time as an Administrative Assistant at a church in Elgin, TX.

While Dennis and CJ were dating, we went shooting at a friend’s ranch, Denis and Donna Hellum. After CJ and Dennis finished shooting, Cassandra’s father Pastor Erin Feldges, gave a sermon on the book of Acts. This pivotal book of the bible discussed the formation of the early church after the death and resurrection of Christ. Pastor Erin discussed how the newly saved in Acts would immediately become baptized after learning and receiving Jesus Christ. In Christianity, this is known as the Acts Hammer. The repetitive nature of obedience through the symbolic act of baptism right after they accepted Jesus Christ. This led Dennis to his own baptism, and spiritual rebirth on that very ranch. He was saved on September 30th, 2023.

Dennis and Cassandra were in love with each other. He decided to marry this wonderful woman. Dennis went ahead and requested Erin's permission to marry her. They devised a creative proposal plot!

During the winter of 2023, CJ and Dennis were visiting her family in Florida. Every winter, CJ’s family takes family photographs in Melbourne, Florida. They along with Dennis traveled to their typical photography spot. CJ’s family takes pictures every year at a specific park in Melbourne Bay. Upon arriving, they all walked out of their vehicles, Dennis concealing the engagement ring box in his pocket. It was large!

Luckily Cassandra was carrying her beloved dog Cindy to the park gazebo. She did not notice Dennis’s awkward strutting to the location! Here was the problem: “Dennis was not part of the family”, Erin declared, “So he cannot be part of the family pictures then.” “Well… want to be part of the family pictures, can I join the family?” “Yes, you can be part of the family,” Erin stated. Dennis turned to Cassandra and fell to one knee and opened the box, revealing the engagement ring. Dennis then asked her, “Will you marry me?”. Cassandra then said, “Yes!”.

The significance of the wedding grounds we chose resulted from Dennis’s baptism and his proposal of Cassandra being his wife. Denis and Donna Hellum were kind enough to allow us to utilize their ranch for our wedding. We are incredibly grateful for their gratitude. Cassandra and I are ecstatic about living our lives together. We aim to live our lives in the footsteps of our one and true Father, Jesus Christ. We pray to the Lord to lift up our lives in such a way that glorifies Him.
