As of August 11, 2021, Northampton, MA has a mask mandate in place requiring all individuals, regardless of vaccination status, to wear a mask indoors in public settings. Our wedding reception is indoors. If you are unwilling or uncomfortable wearing a mask, you are welcome to attend our ceremony and cocktail hour which will be outside (weather permitting). Disposable black or white surgical masks will be provided by the bride and groom, but we encourage you to bring a mask of your own that you are comfortable in!
If you have RSVP'd and you have changed your mind about attending all our part of our celebration, please notify the bride or groom as soon as you have made you decision. We'd love to have you all there, but we want you all to be and feel safe.
Cocktails and Beverages
We will start the evening with an open bar. We have invested a specific amount into bar service, and once/if the amount has been met, the bar will transition into a cash bar.
The Menu
The meal is a buffet catered by Seth Mias Catering. Their food is absolutely fantastic, and we didn't want you to miss out on anything you might like to try! Main choices will include Beef Short Ribs with Caramelized Onions, Seared Statler Chicken with a Cider Fig Reduction, and Italian Stuffed Peppers with Tomato Cream (a tasting favorite of ours!).
Our dessert bar has something for everyone and will include a Cannoli Platter (Nut Free), Triple Berry Crisp (Nut and Dairy Free), Flourless Chocolate Torte (Gluten Free), Creme Brûlée's Cheesecake, and Strawberry Bavarian Cream Layer Cake.
Dave and Cassie have a love story that began like so many others. Neither were finding romance in the right places, so they both turned to the best place to search for your soulmate that doesn’t include sitting at late night bars or flipping through high school yearbooks. They both joined a dating app, Plenty of Fish (because hey, if the internet can tell you how to essentially do, find, and make anything, and go anywhere, why not see if it can pair you with your other half?). The two spotted one another swiping through profiles. Cassie noticed Dave was a lover of dogs and could see in the photos of him climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and traveling abroad, that he had an adventurous soul. Dave could see Cassie also loved dogs, loved to travel and seemed like a very kind and genuine person. Dave sparked the conversation, and after some time back and forth, they picked their first date. On January 20th, 2017, the two made their way towards Mt. Tom through terrible driving conditions in the snow, and met for the first time at The Tavern On The Hill. They shared a meal and learned more and more about the other. Enjoying the night, they decided to keep it going (and if you know Cassie, anything keeping her up past 10 o’clock must be pretty special). They drove to the Hukelau to meet up with some of Dave’s friends and see a country cover band, Trailer Trash (their band sounds a lot better than their band name). They shared their first dance to “Free Bird” and rounded out their night with their first kiss.
The rest is history. Since then, the two have accomplished so much as individuals and as a couple. David bought his first house, has grown his career as a Respiratory Therapist, and has climbed several more mountains, including Mt. Rainier. Cassie earned her Doctorate from UMass and has settled in to her first job as an Audiologist. The two moved in together gradually (meaning one day, Cassie just kind of never left and a dresser drawer turned into her own closet) and the two have made the house a home.
Dave and Cassie love to travel together. Some of their favorite memories include visiting Dave’s family in Coronado and San Diego, CA, our first cruise seeing the Western Caribbean islands, and going to Disney World right after Cassie’s graduation.
Another special place the two have come to love is Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, ME. Their first time in Acadia was in September 2018, when they fell in love with the beauty of the area, the amazing food (the Great Maine Breakfast is their joint), and the overall energy of a bustling seasonal town. The two returned a second time the following year. After a full day of hiking 10+ miles, they were too early for their dinner reservation at Jordan Pond House, so they decided to take a walk on the trail near the water. Dave coaxed Cassie off the path to go and sit on some rocks by the water. In the moment, Dave knew it was right, and he popped the question!
We are so excited to marry one another, and we can’t wait to share our day with you as we become “The Falveys.”
