Once upon a time, there were two young souls named Nicholas and Cassie. They were both attending Palmer College of Chiropractic and fate brought them together at a Greek life ugly Christmas sweater event (see photo below). Cassie was filled with nerves and could not gather the courage to approach Nick that night. Instead, she confided in her friend Abe, requesting him to let Nick know that there was someone interested in him. However, Abe respected Cassie's wish and decided not to reveal her identity.

Meanwhile, Nick eagerly awaited the arrival of his mystery admirer throughout the night. He played beer pong, danced to the music, and enjoyed some refreshing drinks with his friends. But as the evening came to an end, Nick realized that no one had approached him. Feeling slightly disappointed, he left the party with his fellow fraternity brothers to head home.

However, much to his surprise, Nick soon received a call from the fraternity, informing him that one of his brothers needed him urgently. Initially expecting it to be some fraternity pledge responsibility, Nick returned to the house. Little did he know that it was Cassie who had requested his presence.

When he arrived, he was taken aback but also filled with excitement upon laying eyes on Cassie. He thought she was beautiful and intriguing. From that moment on, their night turned into a delightful conversation that lasted until the early morning hours. They talked and got to know each other, instantly connecting in a way that felt effortless and comfortable.

They decided to have their first date the following morning at Jimmy's Pancake House. It was abundantly clear that there was something special blossoming between them. Their smiles and conversations reflected their deep connection. This memorable encounter took place on December 12, 2020.

As the years went by, their love grew stronger despite the challenges they faced. Nick knew in his heart that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Cassie. So, on Christmas Eve, in Lacrosse Wisconsin, amidst the beautiful Christmas lights at the Rotary Lights event, Nick seized the perfect moment.

With her family present, Nick took out a love letter he had written to Cassie. In this heartfelt letter, he recounted their beautiful love story, ensuring he didn't miss any important details. As he finished reading, with tears of joy in her eyes, Cassie joyfully accepted Nick's proposal and the beautiful engagement ring he presented to her.

Now, as they eagerly prepare for their upcoming wedding in the late spring of 2025, Nicholas and Cassie reflect on their journey together. They have overcome hurdles, celebrated milestones, and continued to grow in love for each other. Their love story, which began at a Greek life event filled with nervousness and anticipation, has flourished into a wonderful relationship that will soon culminate in a lifetime of happiness as husband and wife.
