It all started one night at The Tipsy Alchemist in Uptown Dallas. We were both at a birthday celebration filled with people from the local singles group, Events and Adventures. Surrounded by drinks and dancing, we briefly crossed paths for the first time—just another encounter in a sea of people. Neither of us thought much of it at the time.

As fate would have it, we soon became part of the same close-knit friend group, which we fondly called "Letterkenny." We spent countless nights and weekends together, enjoying group outings, sharing laughs, and getting into plenty of shenanigans. Through it all, we remained just friends, each with our sights set on other people. Little did we know, the connection between us was quietly growing, even if we hadn’t noticed yet.
Then, one day, something changed. Our conversations grew longer, and we started looking forward to spending more time together. What began as casual hangouts turned into something deeper—something we couldn’t ignore. Our connection was effortless, and suddenly, it all just made sense.
The turning point came one unforgettable night after an Events and Adventures outing at the Grandscape Ferris wheel. That night, we officially decided to give "us" a chance, and from that moment on, everything changed for the better. It was, without a doubt, the best decision we ever made.
Six months later, we took the next big step and moved in together. It felt natural—like we’d been building toward this all along. Conversations about the future flowed easily, because we both knew we had found our forever.
As time went on, our little family grew when we welcomed a puppy into our lives. We started calling ourselves the "Wolfe Pack," knowing more dogs will join later on and it felt perfect.
Later that year, Tyler planned the proposal of a lifetime. We were on a cruise with friends for FriendsGiving, and little did I know, he and our friends had been coordinating everything from the moment we boarded the ship. The big moment happened in the ship’s main dining hall. As we walked in, looking for our table, a blanket suddenly dropped from the balcony behind the stage. It was covered with photos of us, and in bold letters, it asked: “Will you marry me?”
I turned to see Tyler down on one knee, holding a ring. Surrounded by our friends, with family watching on FaceTime, I said, “Absolutely!”
And that’s our story—one that started with friendship, grew with love, and continues to be filled with the best moments of our lives. It’s proof that sometimes, the best things happen when you least expect them. We can’t wait to see what the rest of our journey holds.
