Our Wedding

Michael and Cassandra first met on December 2, 2018, at a college party. Cassandra introduced herself by teasing Michael about his bloody nose, and what started as a laugh turned into an all-night conversation about their families, their dreams, and themselves. They instantly clicked and spent much of that year together before Michael graduated in 2019 and left for law school. Although life took them in different directions, they stayed in touch. Two and a half years later, fate brought them back together at Western New England’s Homecoming game. That reunion sparked something new, and by December 2021, they officially began dating. The next few years were filled with weekend road trips and late-night drives between Springfield, MA, and North Haven, CT. Michael finished law school while Cassandra completed her bachelor’s degree, and soon after, Michael began his first job in Norwalk, CT, while Cassandra pursued her master’s degree in New Rochelle, NY. Despite the distance, their relationship only grew stronger. In 2023, after nearly two years of long-distance, they moved into their first apartment together in Fairfield, CT, where they began building their life side by side. They filled their days with game nights, outdoor adventures, and traveling to visit family in Weedsport, NY, and North Smithfield, RI. A new chapter began in March 2025 when they brought home their golden retriever, Bear, named after their college mascot, the Golden Bears. Lake Mohegan quickly became Bear’s favorite place to play and swim, and it became even more meaningful to Michael and Cassandra on September 13, 2025, when Michael proposed during one of their walks they had done many times before. Now, they cannot wait to celebrate their wedding day surrounded by the friends and family who have supported them along the way, and to officially begin their journey as husband and wife!
