What began as a chance meeting in 2018 turned into a six-hour first date over tacos at Felipe’s in Cambridge, MA and ended with a first kiss in the rain.

We've been inseparable since that night. We quickly realized that our sense of humor was perfectly in sync, our conversations were effortless, and our connection was undeniable. We spent countless weekends in Boston attending city festivals, had date nights at every restaurant in the North End, and enjoyed strolls through the Boston Public Garden, lobster rolls at Revere Beach, and late-night cannoli runs. We made our relationship official a few weeks after meeting, thanks in part to a comedian at a comedy club who singled us out in the crowd, joked about how in love we looked, and asked Brien how long Cassandra had been his girlfriend.

As our relationship grew, so did the fun. Our friend and family circles blended effortlessly, and our lives filled with spontaneous date nights, funny Halloween costumes, and impromptu photoshoots. We traveled to new countries together, hosted parties, get-togethers, and game nights with friends, and eventually moved in together where we shared evenings enjoying elaborate meals we cooked together. Even the most ordinary days felt like something special because we were doing them together. Soon after, we adopted our sweet pup, Nellie, who quickly became the heart of our little family. She became our favorite hiking buddy who was always happy to join us for a post-hike soft-serve treat or a trip to Florida or New York to visit our families.

We've grown side by side, celebrating milestones and supporting each other every step of the way. From late-night study sessions to big career moves, we've been each other’s biggest cheerleaders. Along the way, Brien passed the bar and landed his dream job as an attorney, and Cassandra launched her own practice and contracting agency as a speech-language pathologist. In August 2024, Brien took Cassandra back to the restaurant on the beach in Aruba they had visited six years earlier. In the middle of dinner, he asked her to take a walk down the beach, where he surprised her by getting down on one knee and asking her to marry him. So much has changed since that first night meeting for tacos, but one thing has always stayed the same: our unwavering support, shared laughter, and love for making life fun, together. We can’t wait to celebrate that love with you.
