It was cool evening at that bar and grill in Woodstock, and Cassy was feeling a bit guarded that night. She was there with her best friend, and they were just enjoying a night out. Mason came to meet them with mutual friends and sat a distance away from Cassy. Even though they made eye contact, she wasn’t ready to let her guard down. He approached her, introduced himself, and she could tell he was genuinely interested, but Cassy was still untrusting.

Mason became so persistent! He kept coming back to chat, and slowly but surely, he chipped away at her walls. They played some pool, danced, and ended up talking and laughing for hours.

Then, Mason asked Cassy out on a formal first date. They strolled around downtown Woodstock, and it felt nice to be out in the fresh air. They grabbed Boba Tea and shared their favorite flavors, but Cassy was still a bit skeptical about this whole thing. Mason was so patient, and the Italian dinner was filled with easy conversation that made Cassy realize that he truly was different than any other man she has ever known.

Fast forward two years later, and Mason surprised Cassy by recreating their first date. They walked around downtown Woodstock just like before, hit up the same Boba Tea shop. He pulled out a blindfold and told Cassy to put it on. She asked him “Why” and he just said “Do you trust me?”

She agreed to put on the blind fold and they inter-locked arms while Mason guided Cassy blindly through town by the man she finally feels like can trust. They came to a stop which put Cassy’s mind at ease because she was slightly panicking on the inside from blindly walking through busy city streets.

Mason led her to the gazebo, where their families were waiting with roses, and got down on one knee. Mason poured his heart out and of course Cassy said “YES!” After many tears and hugs, all the family went to celebrate at a Texas Roadhouse, and it was the perfect ending to an unforgettable night.

It was such a beautiful moment, filled with love and trust, and they knew that God picked them for each other. ❤️
