Mayne Island
If you are travelling from afar, you can fly in to Victoria Airport or Vancouver. There are ferries to Mayne Island from either city.

If you are ferrying from Vancouver with a car- you must book a reservation. BC Ferries recommends booking a reservation at least 4-6 weeks before a long weekend (like May Long!). Reservations will sell out.
Ferries between Victoria and Mayne operate without reservations, first-come-first-served. We recommend arriving at the Swarts Bay terminal (Victoria -> Mayne) at least 45 minutes before your planned sailing. We recommend arriving at the Village Bay terminal (Mayne -> Victoria) at least 30 minutes before your planned sailing.
Mayne Island is small, but you may still want a car. We have arranged the community bus as a shuttle for the ceremony.
There are a few hotel options and AirBnBs, we recommend booking as early as possible.
Victoria
In Victoria , our Sunday events are close together, so we don't expect you will need a rental car. If you're interested in broader explorations, we'll be happy to give you itinerary suggestions!
For May 16 and 17 we have a discounted hotel block at Oswego Suites hotel in Victoria - which is close to our reception venue (Breakwater Bistro Tasting Room).

You may also want to explore hotels further from the downtown core if you're looking to prioritize cost-savings over convenience.
