While attending USC Aiken, we both became very involved with our Greek Life organizations. Through the friendship and bond that Phi Mu and Tau Kappa Epsilon had, we began a special one of our own. We met each other around the time Phi Mu hosted their annual Mr. USCA event, but it wasn't until that next fall that we really started to become friends. We shared cherished connections like a love for movies, history and outdoor activities as well as our love for our Greek Life chapters. We went on our first date on Oct. 17, 2015 and attempted to go to the South Carolina State Fair without realizing that it was USC game day and that the fair was no longer accepting patrons for the evening. We didn't mind a different adventure, so we decided to go out to eat at Villa Tronco, an Italian Restaurant in downtown Columbia and then headed to the Deceased Farms haunted house in Lexington. This first date began one of our favorite traditions of going to a haunted house for our anniversary every year. Since 2015, we have both been through our own individual ups and downs as we have experienced the loss of loved ones and the joys of new jobs, adventures, and dog parenting. Life began to change drastically once we graduated from College and Jon Michael moved to Greenwood, SC for his new job with Verizon. I stayed home to work many nights and weekends at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, which proved to be difficult as we didn't see each other much. This distance and lack of time together only made us stronger. Jon Michael has since relocated to Augusta to be closer to home and our next major adventure will be my relocation for Grad School. Throughout our highs and lows, we have never wavered in our support for one another. As we enter this next phase in our relationship we are excited to spend our big day with those we hold closest to us.
