About the venue
Our venue is Water's Edge Event Centre, a decommissioned Catholic church built in 1907.
There is a parking lot on the property.
The main entrance is the grand staircase, but there is wheelchair access on the side of the building.
What is the Dress Code?
Daytime Formal.
For men, this means suits (tie optional).
For ladies, this is dresses, a nice skirt, or a pantsuit.
Our parties will be dressed in our wedding colours (Burgundy and Green), but we encourage you to dress for the spring season.
Can my kids come?
We love kids, but ask that only those on the invitation attend. This is in an effort to keep numbers and costs down with the venue.
I'm from out of town, where do I stay?
There are some hotels listed on the Travel page, but a quick Google search has more in Windsor. There are also plenty of AirBnb's in the area.
If you have a vehicle and don't mind a drive, hotels in LaSalle or Tecumseh are approximately 20-30 minutes from the venue, or in Amherstburg, Kingsville, Leaminton are approximately 45-60 minutes.
It's my first time in Windsor. How do I get from the airport/train station to my hotel?
You can fly directly into Windsor, or take the train from the Toronto Airport. It is very easy to navigate either option.
The Windsor Train Station is located near the River on Walker Road (nearby our venue!). The Airport is also on Walker Road, near to opposite end of the city.
For either, Lyft or Uber services will be the most reliable, or you can call ahead and order a private taxi service. You can rent a vehicle at the airport. If you prefer a bus, Windsor Transit Bus Line 135 runs throughout the day to the airport. At the Train Station, Bus Lines 1A and 1C. You can see the full schedules here: https://www.citywindsor.ca/residents/transit-windsor/routes-and-schedules
I was invited to the ceremony, but not the reception. Will I get to talk to the couple at all?
Yes! We are so privileged to have so many people we love and want to spend the day with, but unfortunately we only have so many tables.
After the ceremony, everyone will exit the building and take a photo on the grand staircase. After this, there will be a brief receiving line, before the couple goes to take family photos. Please stay for this as we would love to see you and thank you for coming!
The ceremony and reception are in the same place, how does that work?
Following the ceremony, everyone will exit the building to take a photo on the grand staircase. After this, family will be organized for photos in the courtyard while the couple speaks to those who have to leave following the ceremony. For those waiting for the reception, it will not take long to transform the room! While the couple takes family photos, you can take photos with our gorgeous venue or the river as your backdrop, or take a short walk along the river paths. Once the room is ready, you can enter in and enjoy some coffee or tea until it is time to eat.
When is the dinner?
There is no dinner! For those invited to the reception, it will take place shortly following the morning ceremony, in a brunch style.
How do I let you know dietary restrictions?
When you RSVPed, there was a place to tell us your dietary needs. If you feel this was insufficient, reach out and we will pass it on to the caterers, who will take care of everything.
Our reception will feature brunch style food by Koolini's Italian Eatery in Windsor.
My question isn't here!
If you need any further information, please contact the couple at cn.2026.wedding@gmail.com, or the parents of the couple.
