Cassidy and Andrew grew up just two minutes down the road from each other. Their paths crossed many times, including being on the same swim team when they were young!

In 2013, Cassidy and Andrew both went on a trip with Spring Valley High School's Young Life Club. Cassidy ended up sitting in front of Andrew on the bus, where they struck up a conversation during the ride. That whole weekend, they chatted, played games, and got to know each other.

Andrew and Cassidy started dating on May 5, 2014 (Happy Cinco de Mayo!). Shortly after, Andrew graduated from Spring Valley and left for The Citadel.

When Cassidy graduated high school and went to the University of South Carolina, Andrew made many trips up to Columbia to visit her. Go, gamecocks!

Also during their college years, Cassidy made many trips to Charleston to visit Andrew. Go, bulldogs!

Shortly after celebrating nine years of dating, Andrew proposed to Cassidy in Jekyll Island, Georgia. He booked a private horseback ride on the beach at sunset to pop the question. Cassidy was so surprised and excited!
