Our story begins, as many of you know, in the city of Nashville. Many of you who have traveled there know it is a busy and bustling big city but often it is found to be a pretty small world. Jacob and Cassidy’s paths came to a fork when our beloved social butterfly Aubrey Reburn decided to connect Jacob’s friend group with some new girlfriends she met at her apartment building pool.

The setting was brunch. We did not know it then in the fall of 2016, but many of those in attendance that day will be standing beside us on the day of our wedding in late fall 2022. After a boozy brunch that led into the afternoon and then the night Cassidy and Jacob got to talking and exchanged information. A few months later, at a Nashville Predators hockey game Jacob finally mustered up the courage to ask Cassidy to be his girlfriend.

Since then the couple has been growing together and learning how to be a team. Cassidy continues to teach Jacob where his shoes go and Jacob gives her a few tips in the kitchen. In 2018 Cassidy and Jacob purchased their first home and invited a new addition to the family. Robert the Bernedoodle was just a tiny puppy then but he has grown to be a huge part of the couple’s lives and the lives of those close to them.

The following year it became time to tell the city of Nashville goodbye for a now and make the move over to Knoxville, TN. Embarking on the adventure of living in Cassidy’s parents basement, the couple planned and built a new home in East TN. Moving in at the end of 2019 they learned to make a house a home. It wasn’t long in the new house until Cassidy decided Robert needed a friend and his brother Ralph was brought into the picture.

Moving on to 2021, living through Covid, starting a new business, and all manner of things it was decided there were some family pictures were needed. The crew headed off to the botanical gardens, but little did they know Jacob had some bigger plans. It was there, literally in a field of daisies, that Jacob decided to ask the questions that has us all gathering to celebrate these two. After some persuasion, she said yes!!!

The planning and date picking has been a whirl of excitement but we are so excited to invite you all to our special day in a tropical paradise! See you October 21, 2022.
