Cassidy and Ari met during their freshman year of high school. They were introduced by one of our bridesmaids, Gina Girardi. Cassidy and Ari actually went on their first date during their freshman year when Cassidy asked Ari to go to the Sadie Hawkins Dance. The story of this "date" is largely disputed between Ari and Cassidy. Ari claims that he thought it was a real date and was disappointed when Cassidy wanted to dance with friends instead of with him. Cassidy claims Ari would not come dance so she stayed with her friends on the dance floor. The true answer of what happened at the Sadie Hawkins Dance shall remain a mystery until historians years from now decide to take up the challenge.

Needless to say, that was Cassidy and Ari's last date for awhile. They remained friends throughout high school and became closer as their senior year approached. One day, following a study session at a friend's house, Ari was working up the courage to ask Cassidy to go on a date. They were standing by Cassidy's car but at the last minute, Ari chickened out and said goodbye. Frustrated with himself, the next day Ari made up a story and told Cassidy he was walking his dog by her house and asked her to come outside. Cassidy came outside and the two talked for awhile. Finally, Ari worked up the courage and asked Cassidy if she wanted to go see a movie. And she said yes!! Later that day, Ari called Cassidy to make sure he was clear that he was asking her on a date and not just to hang out as friends.

And the rest as they say, is history! Cassidy and Ari began dating in October of 2014. During the first year of college the two had a long distance relationship. Ari lived in Irvine so the two would switch off months travelling to and from Sacramento and Irvine. The next year both Ari and Cassidy were attending community college and after that both chose to transfer to UC Davis. At Davis, Ari and Cassidy added their first addition to their family, Ruby! Together, Cassidy and Ari navigated college while caring for their energetic and lovable dog. The two of them graduated in 2019 and prepared to officially move in together.

2019 was a year of change! Cassidy and Ari moved in together for the first time and two days after moving in, Ari started law school. As Ari began law school, Cassidy began working for the UC Davis Medical School. Together, Cassidy and Ari braved a new job and a new school experience. Then in 2020 they braved the pandemic together where they leaned on each other for support and motivation to get through those challenging times. In 2022, while working a full time job, Cassidy would begin getting her Master's Degree in Public Health from Sacramento State.

In November of 2022, eight years after going on their first date, Ari proposed to Cassidy. After getting engaged, Ari and Cassidy decided to add another member to their family. After an extensive search, Cassidy found their new dog Blue! Their family had acquired an adorable and sassy little man who fit right in.

Now in 2024 Cassidy has graduated from her Master's Program and Ari has begun his work as an attorney. The two of them live together with their two puppies. They have found an amazing community of friends and family who provide them with all the love and support they could ever ask for. Cassidy and Ari are excited to face the next leg of their journey, as Husband and Wife.
