Terry and I met through our mutual friend Tony. We all started playing a game called Helldivers 2 together and slowly over time Terry and I ended up staying up later and later together playing games and watching movies. One day I messaged him about some kind of ramen noodles on Discord and we literally never stopped talking after that. For a long time we were just really good friends and talked about a wide assortment of things throughout the day but I think Tony and Dez started to notice that we would wait in the Discord chat for each other at the end of the day. They are the ones who decided that it was time we all hung out in person which led to a very interesting golf outing. I don't think Terry or I could have been any more awkward than we were that day. We rode in the same golf cart and at one point I tripped on a stick and fell face first on the ground. This is of course is something Terry still likes to bring up all the time lol. I was so embarrassed! We just finished our round of golf and then went on our way (after we all laughed for a good few minutes about my clumsiness).

After that, neither of us was sure where we stood in terms of if we wanted to be in a friendship or a relationship. I remember I went out to a street dance with my friends for 4th of July and the entire time I just messaged Terry. This led to the second golf outing. This one was more of a secret outing because we decided to go alone. We had a wonderful time making fun of each other and talking about who would end up winning the round of golf (it was always going to be me, but I liked to let him think he had a chance lol). At the end of the round I don't think either of us wanted to leave, so we ended up just talking in the parking lot for 2 hours. I got so sunburnt! At the end of the day we were still cowards who didn't want to talk about how we felt about each other, so we just kept being friends.

About a month passed and we didn't hang out again so I had given up hope. We were still really good friends and talked all the time, but I figured the door had closed on us having a relationship. You can never say never and the universe had other plans because we ended up going on another second double-date-that-wasn't-an-actual-double-date to the movies to see the new Alien movie with Tony and Dez. We sat by each other in the theater and it was probably one of the most messed up Alien movies that has come out so far. After that we went to Walmart where the automatic doors didn't open all the way and Terry ran straight into them. I told him it was karma for making fun of me tripping when we golfed lol. That night at at about 2am (which was our normal bed time for talking to each other at the time) Terry told me how he felt and we've been together ever since.
