Believe it or not, our relationship began almost ten years ago when we were 17 years old. In the Fall of 2014, both of us were juniors at Fayetteville High School, varsity athletes, and students in the FHS choir. Though both grew up in Fayetteville and attended McNair Middle School and Woodland Junior High School, a friendship wasn’t born until Luke asked Cassidy to be his date to Homecoming. This. Night. Was. The. Best. And one month after the school dance, Luke asked Cassidy to be his girlfriend!

We dated throughout the remainder of high school, and in 2016, our relationship ended as we ventured towards two different universities in two different states. Luke went to the University of Arkansas, and Cassidy went to Washington University in St. Louis. We will spare you the details of the roller coaster situationship that occurred over the following five years, but you can use your imagination! :)

Fast forward to 2021. After braving long-distance and one final breakup during the Covid-19 pandemic, both of us began our careers in two different states… yet again. Luke was in Arkansas, and Cassidy was further up the midwest in Minnesota. You would think that ten and a half hours of distance would've kept us from seeing each other, but that was certainly not the case and we decided to try dating long-distance… yet again… because why not? This time around felt immediately different, as we set a loose goal to live in the same city again at some point in the near future. Are you lost yet? Time is funny.

Fast forward to 2022! Cassidy accepted a remote job offer and joyfully moved back to Fayetteville to end long-distance with Luke. For the first time in SIX YEARS, we lived just minutes away from each other and were able to have a stable and healthy relationship. Thanks be to God, and the rest is history!
