Our Wedding

It all started back in September, 2015. We were both juniors in college at the time and living in townhouses, just two doors apart from one another. Cassidy's roommates, Carly and Colleen, had invited their friend over to watch the solar eclipse. He wore a red sweatshirt and had a kind smile.However, Cassidy didn't think much of it at the time because she was dating someone else. Little did she know this was the man she would one day call her husband...

The Day We Met - 10/13/15 

It was at our Halloween party, 2015 that we really started noticing each other. We danced with our friends in our townhouse living room and hung out a bit that night. Then in the next few weeks we texted and starting hanging out. Cassidy initiated everything when she saw Chase outside the student union pushing a cart and sent him a text that read, "yeah, you push that cart!"

On January 16, 2016, Chase drove to Potsdam to meet Cass. She had to be there about a week early to go to California and attend the NAMM Show. Chase brought flowers and gum and asked Cass out in sign language because he knew that she was taking that as a modern language credit and was really enjoying it.**additional fun fact** Right after Chase asked Cass out they were heading out to grab pizza and he slipped on ice and almost ate it right there in the parking lot. It was glorious.

We Started Dating - January 16, 2016

Our first real date "out on the town" was Snow Ball 2016. Chase had to work it as he was part of SUNY Potsdam's Campus Life and worked a bunch of events on campus. Fortunately, he was able to sneak away and steal a dance or two.

For our first trip away together we went to Niagara Falls...the Canadian side, of course. We rode the SkyWheel, played Wizard Golf (neon, black lighting, totally awesome), checked out the falls and walked around the town. It was tons of fun!

First Trip Together - March 2016 

The Summer of 2016 was the first summer Cass and Chase spent together. Believe it or not, Cass actually lived with Chase and his parents for that entire summer, just moved right in. She had hoped to find a job in Plattsburgh that was available since all the college kids were gone but had little luck. A short term Bath Fitter placement at the fair was about it.Fortunately, she still had a great time getting to know Chase's friends (Pokemon-going and playing board games and hanging out), spending time with his parents, and feeling like a Daredevil on the back of Tommy's motorcycle a few times.

Summer 2016

In the Fall of 2016, we both started our senior year of college. We lived together in the same townhouse and were just enjoying our last year as college students before the real world smacked us in the face. Cass and Chase both worked at the college admissions office with their housemate, Bonnie. They lived also with one of Cassidy's best friends, Tilly. Cassidy had her senior recital that Fall, and it marked the first time the parents would meet. Woot! It was a great year.

Senior Year of College

On May 13, 2017, Cass and Chase graduated from college. It was time to begin the next major chapter but, for now, celebration time!

May 13, 2017 - Graduation Day!

At the beginning of June 2017, Cass headed West to live with Becca, and friend from her clarinet studio in college, and start her first internship at DANSR, Inc in Champaign, IL. Chase headed home for the summer, spent lots of time with his friends and got a job working at Five Guys.In late July, Chase flew out (first time on a plane!) to meet Cass. The two ventured to the Miller Park Zoo, explored Springfield, and enjoyed some deep dish Chicago pizza.A delayed flight (to the next day) resulted in Chase having to stay in Illinois, so what did Cass and Chase do to pass the time? Miniature golf of course!

At the beginning of August, Cass moved to Carlsbad, CA where she started her second internship at NAMM and Chase began his master's program at the University of Rochester later that month.For Christmas that year, Chase flew out to California to spend it with Cass. The two adventured all over Southern California and went down to San Diego and up to LA. They visited Balboa Park, The San Diego Zoo, the beach (of course), and spent a night with Chase's friend Gus in Los Angeles where they checked out the walk of fame and a few other attractions.They even went to a lighted fair on Christmas Eve...OUTSIDE. They definitely soaked up as much sun as possible.

Cass Moves to California

In February 2018, Cass gets a job at Music and Arts in Liverpool, right outside of Syracuse, and Chase is still finishing his Master's at University of Rochester.

In mid-2018, Cassidy and Chase both get their first big person job. Cassidy is the Digital Marketing Manager for the Music Division at Bentley Hall, Inc. in Syracuse and Chase becomes a Chemistry Lab Technician at Novelis. Adulthood, here they come!

On January 25, 2020, Chase proposed near an icy river in Lake Placid. It was perfect &lt;3

Cass Says Yes!

In October 2020, amidst a global pandemic, Cass and Chase decided to pick up and move to Vermont. Chase would start as a Quality Coordinator at Autumn Harp before becoming the Quality Manager, and Cass worked for a chocolate factory before starting her woodworking program in February.

Cassidy's Sissy! Alyssa is the middle of the three sisters and her and Cass have been through a lot together - including living on Raspberry Grandpa's sailboat for a summer and working at the National Hotel on Block Island. When you put Cass and Lys together the adventures never end and the fun never stops, especially when the two of them run around WalMart for an hour and a half trying to decide what to put in a bachelorette party bucket.

Alyssa

Kels Bug is Cassidy's favorite youngest sister! The two of them love having life breakthroughs on the dock at the cottage, sail-surfing (an activity they invented), and wearing matching bucket hats. Kels is the reason Cass knows how to dress well and there is no stopping them on #FortniteFridays. Although they didn't used to get along when they were young, the two are now the best of friends.

Lauren is Cassidy's best friend from high school, and has remained one of her best friends all these years later. Junior and senior year the two were inseparable and spent nearly every weekend together. They were basically sisters!
She is the reason Cass loves pita chips, occasionally ate lunch in the cemetery, and has seen all of the Harry Potter movies and Anne of Green Gables.

Tilly is one of Cassidy's absolute best friends and former housemates and studiomates from college. In college Tilly and Cass used to cause mischief together pulling pranks on their former studiomate Becca. Tilly also played with Cass on her senior recital and the two of them love hanging out, chatting about all aspects of life, and eating yummy food.

Dan and Cass worked together at Music & Arts in Syracuse and just hit it off. Now he is one of Cass's best friends and they are currently watching all the Marvel tv shows together and have already finished all of the movies! They also enjoy going to Red Lobster for the biscuits, playing Fluxx, exploring IKEA, and making weird (vine-inspired) faces at each other.

Paedyn and Cass met a few years ago through Chase's friend Jordan (groomsman). The two became fast friends and now have their own lady's night once a week where they play Stardew Valley or crush some Fortnite. Paedyn and Cass also spend many weekends watching Friends, playing board games, adventuring around town, and drinking Dunkin. Paedyn (and Jordan) are the reason Cass is a very happy Dog Aunt to their pupper Finn.

Carly and Cass have been friends since the early days of college. She met Chase before Cass did and after the two of them started dating she said, "When you get married I want to be the flower girl!" And here she is 6.5 years later doing just that. Carly and her husband Quincy live in Vermont and are some of Cass and Chase's best friends. The four of them love to venture around Vermont, explore restaurants and breweries together, and play board games while laughing about the weird things they did in college.

My name is Ben. I’ve known Chase since Fourth Grade and I’ve known Cass since he met her. I like to workout and I work at a stone quarry. I couldn’t be happier for my two friends and I can’t thank them enough for letting me be part of their day.

My name is Casey. I've been friends with Chase since highschool and met Cass while her and Chase attended school in Potsdam, where I also enjoyed spending countless weekends with them while I went to visit. I spend my free time weightlifting, hiking and running while also spending a good amount of time relaxing, buying collectibles and playing the occasional video game.

Hey, I'm Adam, Chase's best friend and Cass' muse. I'm a web/app designer, content creator, and a writer. A real fun person, if your idea of fun is working 7 days a week and napping at noon.

I went to high school with Chase the same as these other guys, but we didn't really get to know each other until college when I was making sure he drank enough water. Cass, I met through him. We're going to work on a sweet logo for her own business soon.
