Cassie Baloue, the youngest of three children, was born in Northern Illinois to her parents Thomas and Kamla Baloue. Cassie later grew up in Walnut Creek, California. Since a young age, Cassie has always been ambitious and expressed interest in policy and politics. Cassie graduated from the University of California - Merced with a B.A. in Political Science. She also completed two congressional internships on Capitol Hill during college, which later led to her move to Washington D.C. In 2023, Cassie was crowned Miss District of Columbia USA and pursued her platform of cancer awareness/early detection. Now, Cassie is currently working in the U.S. House of Representatives as a Communications Director.

Christopher Perkins, also the youngest of three children was born and raised in Maryland by his parents Terence and Sherry Perkins. Before completing his degree, Christopher was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society. Then graduated from Morehouse College with a B.A. in Accounting. He returned to Maryland, acquired 30 more credit hours at Bowie State University and embarked on his career at PriceWaterhouse Coopers while studying for his Certified Public Accountant license. Christopher is now a licensed CPA and currently working at Verizon as a Team Lead/Auditor.

In August of 2018, Christopher Perkins and Cassie Baloue met through Chris' friend, Avery Poole, at a Washington Nationals baseball game. Avery was coordinating an event between mutual friends at the game which gave the opportunity for Chris and Cassie to meet. Since the first day Chris and Cassie met, the couple has been inseparable with their love growing every single day.

Chris and Cassie are celebrating over six years of courtship prior to entering holy matrimony. During that time the couple celebrated various life achievements together and grew a strong foundation of friendship. Leading up to the wedding, the couple has been participating in pre-marital counseling at Woodstream Church. Through each step of the relationship, the couple has learned the power of keeping God in the center of their union.

Chris and Cassie participate in numerous activities together such as involvement with their local church, fitness, experiencing different foods, and binge watching their favorite shows. Chris and Cassie are blessed to share their next relationship milestone by getting married in St. Croix on May 3, 2025!
