The Buckhorn Saloon is where it all began—where history was made and legend lives. It is where Teddy Roosevelt recruited Rough Riders and Pancho Villa is rumored to have planned the Mexican Revolution. Many of the original furnishings still grace today's Buckhorn Saloon, including the back-bar which was hand-crafted of marble and cherry wood.
The bar features locally brewed beers on draft. You might also like one of their delicious and icy Prickly Pear Margaritas; it’s a Texas favorite!
The Pearl Brewing company (also known as the just the Pearl) was an American Brewery, established in 1883 in Downtown San Antonio.
In 2001 Silver Ventures , a San Antonio-based investment firm, purchased the 23-acre brewery site with extensive plans to create a mixted-use development that would include restaurants, shops and eventually, a boutique hotel.
The Pearl is a fun way to unwind with good food, local shops and music.
The Hotel Building was originally Pearl's Brewhouse, Built in 1894 and a San Antonio landmark ever since. The building was designed by Chicago Architect August Maritzen in the Second Empire Style. Maritzen specialized in Breweries, designing more than eighty in the US, Canada and South Africa. Don't for get to stop by the Bar

In 2015, a group of five Spanish colonial missions in San Antonio are - including most of the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park and the Alamo- were named a World Heritage site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. The designation includes Mission Concepcion, Mission, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan, Mission Espada, Mission San Antonio de Velero, Rancho de Las Cabras, and their associated irrigation and agricultural features. This rare honor has bestowed upon only in the United States. The missions are the first and only World Heritage Site in Texas.
