Our story started in the apartments connected to Mulligan’s bar in Winona, Minnesota. The first time we met, Cassie was doing laundry in the middle of her roommate’s birthday party. From there, I knew she was the one for me.

Ryan and I were introduced by our friends, Victoria and Luke, when they brought him along to my roommate’s birthday party. I had heard Ryan’s name announced at football games but I had never met him before. Throughout the night we started talking and the next morning I asked Luke for Ryan’s number. From the beginning I knew something was different with Ryan. Shortly after our first date we started spending all of our time together, we grew closer with every morning walk and date night at Mango’s.

After a year in Winona, Ryan accepted a job in Green Bay and we moved to Wisconsin! We bought an adorable old house with a big yard for Buddy to run around. We have loved spending our time walking Buddy on the river trail, finding new Mexican restaurants around town, and getting drinks at the Wednesday night farmers market. After about a year and a half in Wisconsin we decided this is where we wanted to stay and eventually raise a family.

Ryan proposed the day before my 24th birthday while we were up in Door County. He planned a short trip up to the Peninsula State Park to walk around the trails with Buddy. We stopped at a scenic outlook to take a picture and that is when Ryan proposed! I was definitely surprised but I couldn’t have been happier. In the middle of wedding planning we made the crazy decision to build our forever home. This has been a year full of planning, but seeing everything come together has made all of the stress worth it. Ryan, Buddy and I will be moving into our new home in January, we are very excited to be settled in before the wedding!
