This photo was taken the first day we met in 2015 at Fare Thee Well, Soldier Field, Chicago for the Grateful Dead's 50th anniversary shows (pictured together in the center). We continued running into each other at concerts and remained friends until we started dating in 2021.

We both had become single and our friends (pictured on the right) invited us over for a Billy Strings livestream. When leaving, we made sure we’d see each other again.

Cassie was renting a flat in Hamtramck with her cat, Lady Godiva. JD had just bought his first house in Redford. Us girls moved in with him and our lives began to blossom together.

We share a passion for live music and traveling that has lead us on countless adventures, and we’re both full of stories! Highs and lows, twists and turns. But one thing is for certain, we want each other by our sides for all of it.

JD proposed while we were on a trip to St Pete Beach, Florida on 2.22.24. A date he chose because Cassie loves repeating numbers. With the ring gifted from Cassie’s mom from her marriage with her dad.
