This is our all time favorite restaurant in Green Bay. Everything on their menu is delicious, but we highly recommend their quesabirria tacos and queso. Additionally for all you Peace Corps volunteers they serve hibiscus tea, also known as bissap.
Also Simone Biles loves La Carreta
This is the cutest independent coffee shop and uncontested best coffee in all of Green Bay. They roast their own beans, extracting unheard of amounts of flavor. We recommend one of their many seasonal beverages; you can't go wrong.
The Egg Yolk Cafe is our favorite brunch spot. Cassie highly recommends their chilaquiles. Say hello to Tim's favorite student Carlos when you are there.
If you want a spendy, fancy dinner, look no further than Bleu. We try to go only once a year, and have never had a bad meal.
Tim's favorite spot for wings, this bar is the quintessential Wisconsin bar experience. Pull-tabs, slots, kids sitting at the bar, it has it all. Pro-tip- mix a buffalo sauce with garlic parm. You won't regret it.
Tim started his pottery journey under the wise and knowledgeable tutelage of Keith Carter and that has turned into a friendship. Tim and Cassie love to spend time with Keith and Sarah, and have enjoyed many great conversations and creative experiences in their pottery studio and home. I have not confirmed with Keith, but I am sure that if you contacted him, wanting to set up a private class, or if a group of friends wanted to set up a class with the two of them while you are in town, they would be more than willing to accommodate. We can work together to get you your finished products if traveling from out of town.
Must Love Cats.
For those looking for something to do with their children, Bay Beach is a fantastic spot for families to spend all day or just an hour or two just enjoying the rides and the atmosphere. There is no daily park pass, you pay per ride, with a cost of about $1-2 per person. There is also miniature golf, go-karts, and bumper boats nearby.
Sometime between 7 and 12 every Saturday morning, Tim and Cassie will be going to the farmer's market. We love the delicious food, produce, and baked goods on offer. Its hard to go wrong with local produce, live music, and delicious Hmong egg rolls.
What more needs to be said. If you are traveling to Green Bay, you have to stop at the legendary and historic Lambeau Field. With the hall of fame, pro-shop, and stadium tours, there is a ton to do.
Just down the street from Tim and Cassie's house, this unique state park offers a trip to the past. With a donation entrance fee, you can walk around historic buildings that have been transported from their original location to their new home at Heritage Hill. Such a great experience with unbeatable views of the Fox River and the rest of the city, you should think about stopping by. (Dog Friendly)
