Cassie moved to the Madison area in 2018, after accepting a teaching position at Verona Area High School. To help her get the lay of the land, the school had a teacher buddy system for all the newbs, they paid someone to be your first friend.

Jeff, an established teacher at Verona, graciously offered his services and signed up to be assigned to a random newbie: Cassie.

Let’s just say, Jeff took his job very seriously. They bonded over their love of family, teaching, and nachos. They care for two fur children: Willow and Phil.
