Our Wedding

We did not plan it, but God did! It started in our "World Literature Before 1800" class, which Joshua was supposed to take 3 years ago, but his advisors missed it over 3 times! On the first day of class, our professor was making us do a questionnaire to determine our group for the semester. Afterwards, our professor lined us up in the hall to divide us based on the questionnaire score. It was during COVID times so we all had to wear masks, but we were shoulder-to-shoulder in the hall. This being the case, Joshua, thinking out loud, asked, "What is social distancing?" and I responded, "Not this", then we both laughed. As the semester progressed, we became closer. We both left in the same direction every day so we started talking a little- Fun fact, it was a few months before he saw my face because of the campus mask mandate. He decided after many months of growing our friendship to ask me out for lunch. He wasn't sure whether he should so he spoke to his family, friends, and most importantly God. His cousin Third told him to simply, "Squeeze the orange" and do it. Joshua responded, “If I see an orange in the middle of the road, I’ll do it”. A few days later when he was headed home one evening, he saw an orange in the road. Two years later, we are planning our future!
