Our Wedding

Cassie and Stef first met in Pre-Kindergarten. Cassie vividly remembers the first day Stef showed up at age 4 with his luscious hair, trendy sweater, and interesting name. Little Stef thought Cassie was the most angelic and beautiful little girl he had ever seen (obviously). Little did either of them know, they'd end up getting married one day! They met again in high school in 2006 and quickly became close friends. Stef serenaded Cassie with a lovely rendition of "My Girl" in 2008 to ask her to the Homecoming dance. They continued to date after that for about 5 years through the rest of high school and most of college. During that time, they had lots of fun memories like re-watching the LOTR extended edition films at least 10 times, partying together at UIUC and Vanderbilt, eating endless bagel sandwiches and China Box on the streets of Copenhagen, and making their first (of many) trips to Greece together. Although they took some time off for a few years after college, they soon realized they were meant to be. Thanks to their friends Tierney and Holden getting married, Cassie and Stef rekindled in 2018 and the rest is history. Stef took Cassie on their "first date" to the cyberpunk Izakaya Lounge, and then their relationship really solidified after going to the Wizard World Convention together. Cassie was brave enough to talk to David Krumholtz at the convention (Stef's hero and star of the Oscar-winning Santa Clause franchise) and he fell back in love instantly. Now, Cassie and Stef live together in the South Loop and couldn't be happier. They are so excited to celebrate their wedding with everyone! :)

We have a small block of rooms at the Marriott Burr Ridge, which is an 8-minute drive from Edgewood Valley Country Club (our reception venue). There will be transportation for guests back and forth from the hotel and venue throughout the night.
