It was a summer night in Waskesiu 2017, a lake resort located in Prince Albert National Park in Northern Saskatchewan. Matt and his family have come to Waskesiu since he was a baby. Cat had landed in the park after obtaining a work & holiday visa and later applying for permanent residency. That night Matt was hanging out with his long time friend at the most popular (and only) bar in town.Cat was also there with her Brother-like/wingman friend. They happened to go outside at the same time and their eyes met. Cat immediately thought “wow, who is that handsome guy”? Matt didn’t seem to notice her at first, probably because of the height difference between them. Minutes later, Cat asked her friend to to make a subtle move in order to meet Matt. Little did she know that her friend would blatantly tell Matt that she liked him. Shortly after that, they all left the bar together to go explore the town. Matt didn’t hesitate to introduce himself. Since then they have never been apart. Love at first sight (ish) does exist.
