Our Wedding

Catarina and Landon first met while in middle school at Central Presbyterian Church, where they both group up attending with their families. As the story goes, Landon had a huge crush on Catarina when she was in 8th grade and he was in 6th grade. One night, he got up the courage to tell Catarina of his feelings for her through a text message. He sent the text message, professing his undying love for her. She responded with a "thanks, but no thanks". They continued to stay friends until Catarina entered high school, where they stopped talking and hanging out. Fast forward about 4 years, Landon reaches out to Catarina for relationship advice, which she kindly gives. They start to rekindle a friendship, that for a while just stays a friendship. It becomes clear soon on that they both have feelings for each other and Landon tries to shoot is shot again. However, just like before, Catarina says "thanks, but no thanks". At this point it is looking like Landon is never going to get out of the friend zone. They stay friends, texting almost everyday, and Catarina soon realizes that maybe she should have had a different response. However, she feels it's too late and no person would come back and ask a third time after being rejected twice (even if it was 4 years apart). Luckily, she is very very wrong. One thing that comes with growing up in the same church circle is a lot of shared friends/acquaintances. One of Landon's friends was pretty close with one of Catarina's friends. Both friends learned that Catarina and Landon liked each other, but after shooting his shot twice and getting rejected, Landon was done trying and Catarina wasn't going to ask after turning someone down twice. Their friends were having none of that though. Landon's friend texted him saying, "You should really ask Catarina out again." After some convincing, he finally did and Catarina and Landon went on their first date together. And the rest is history.

Grace and Catarina met in their 7th grade math class (their least favorite subject). Throughout the years they became best friends due to their love for books and certain actors. Their friendship has only grown as they've gotten older and there is no one else Catarina can imagine standing up their with her, celebrating her big day.

Reilly and Catarina met each other so long ago that it's hard to pinpoint an exact year or age. While growing up, they would spend countless nights watching wedding romcoms, they would plan out their weddings and discuss what they would and wouldn't do on their big days. Now they get to plan Catarina's special day together!

Reilly Hylton

Morgan was just Reilly's older sister for a while, then Catarina's Sunday night babysitter, until finally becoming one of Catarina's most reliable friends. The two have grown closer the older they've gotten. They constantly share book recommendations and Catarina goes to her with constant questions about planning a wedding.

Hannah is Catarina's oldest friend. They spent a lot time playing pretend shop owners and making random concoctions in the kitchen. Just like the majority of her bridesmaids, one thing that has kept Hannah and Catarina close is their love for reading. They'll spend hours just talking and hanging out, never running out of things to talk about.

Paolo is Catarina's best friend (even though she might not be his). Catarina is constantly badgering Paolo to get dinner or to be her personal mail man. They can always be seen calling each other names and/or hitting each other (just normal sibling stuff).

For as long as Catarina can remember, Isaac and Paolo have been each other's sidekicks, creating chaos wherever they go. Catarina could not see her wedding day without the chaos of the two boys, so enter Isaac, who will walk down the aisle with Paolo, creating a party atmosphere that he always seems to bring.

Kenny has been the angel on Landon's shoulder since elementary school. Whether is was hiking to a golf course after school, going to the beach, or sleeping over at each other's houses, Kenny has been a constant in Landon's life, and a true friend. Please ask him to show you pictures of his sculptures!

And on Landon's other shoulder, is the devil. Ok that is not true, but Nathan is always there to give Landon a harsh truth when he needs it but may not want to hear it. Nathan and Landon will constantly be at each other's throat, and they will always keep each other in check. If you want to start a band, let Nathan know.

Manav and Landon met playing Ultimate Frisbee for UMBC. They will compete in just about anything from frisbee to school projects. Manav is the hardest worker you will come by and you will probably find him networking during the wedding.

Manav Bhatt

Alan and Landon met playing Ultimate Frisbee for UMBC. They constantly force the other out of their comfort zone and make sure that each other is staying active and throwing. Alan has been Landon's bus driver for multiple years.

Alan Nguyen

Matt and Landon met playing Ultimate Frisbee for UMBC. They share the award for creating the most stress on the field when they have a disc in their hand. Both for the other team and their own. Matt and Landon have shared a wedding cake before, and plan on doing it again.

Matt Healey

Ben and Landon met playing Ultimate Frisbee for UMBC. Ben has been Landon's longest roommate since leaving home. They bonded over their Veggie Tales filled childhoods and love/hate relationship with ultimate. Ben and Landon were captains for UMBC's Ultimate team last year and brought the team to its first regional appearance in 11 years.
